Immediate Dentures
If your dentist has recommended that you have some or all of your natural teeth pulled (also referred to as extractions), an immediate denture is a solution that may work for you. Immediate dentures give you the option of having your necessary extractions completed and then you have your immediate denture inserted right away so you are not without teeth. If you decide that an immediate denture is the best treatment option for you our denturist will initiate this procedure before your teeth are extracted. An impression is made of your existing teeth and gums prior to the extraction surgery and is used as working models for the construction of your new dentures. From your models the denturist is able to construct a denture, duplicating your original teeth with improvements to your appearance, if you so wish. It is important that you understand the entire process that is involved with the treatment plan you choose to follow.

o not perform extractions but our denturist can recommend you to a dentist who can. Our denturist will consult with your dentist about your treatment plan and extraction date so that you will be able to walk out with your new smile! Typical turn around time for an immediate denture is approximately 2 weeks from the date of impressions; however we can work with you depending on your availability and planned extraction date. At your extraction appointment, your immediate dentures are inserted and following insertion you will be closely monitored by our denturist and seen for adjustments as well as tissue conditioner applications when you see gum shrinkage (typically 5-6 weeks following extractions) and a permanent reline within 8-12 months following your extractions.
